I’m very happily married to my best friend, Anna.
We have seven wonderful adult children, all doing well with their moral compasses pointing in the right direction, and six amazing grandchildren we’re very proud of.

At home, we share our lives with five dogs — three little rescues (it’s hard to even call them dogs since you have to reach down to pet them, but they bring us endless joy), and two big guys with loud voices and wagging tails.

I ran my own business for over 20 years and am now retired, which allows me the time and commitment needed to serve effectively without juggling work and family obligations.

With a strong background in business and finance, I’m comfortable reading and translating complex financial statements — a valuable skill given that Parkland County’s annual operating budget exceeds $125 million.

It has always been my policy to tell people the truth rather than what they want to hear. I also never make promises I can’t keep — it keeps life a lot simpler and a lot quieter.
